Honda Fit Shift Boot Install

I wanted to make it so that installation would not involve any glue or staples.

To do this, I had to make the bottom of the boot like this:



This allows the boot to Slide between the two plastic pieces like this:


This is what it looks like with the bottom plastic piece removed. The boot slips in to the lip on the upper piece and then both are clipped together.

About Me

Orignally trained as a bespoke tailor, I'm also an avid car enthusiast.

As a tailor, I would like to think I have a unique view of automotive interior upholstery and sewing. Taking what I have learned from my time as a tailor, I apply these techniques and skills to the automotive interior.

The end result is what I think is a much better product than the original (both in terms of aesthetics and construction). By applying hand sewing techniques and other skills normally employed by the high-end bespoke tailoring community, I know I can deliver a product which will be completely hand made and unique.

Shift Boot Availability

If your shift boot is not listed you can still have one custom made.

First, I would need the OEM stock boot (including all attached rings and grommets) from your car. This allows me to make a pattern from which I can add your vehicle to the list.

For those of you willing to send me your stock boot, I will deduct 40% from your total cost.
